Weekend at my parents.

Sunday, December 08, 2013

Spent the weekend at my parents new apartment. Husband went with me this trip...usually it's just myself and Daughter. My parents (my mother, especially) acts very differently when he's around. This weekend has been infinitely more pleasant than the past few times I've been down to visit them. We all had a nice time. We had an early Christmas while we visited. My mom made her 150 year old recipe of gingerbread cake. We opened presents. We watched Christmas movies. We laughed. We ate. We drank. We enjoyed each other. It was really, really nice. I do wish I had another day...weekends away just go by too quickly, and I hate that the work-week starts tomorrow. Plus I've been sick all weekend. I feel like a giant, fat pig. I have a weight loss meeting tomorrow night with my sister-in-law...that is, if she doesn't flake out on me again. I guess I need to start counting the calories again, lay off the junk and the cocktails, and get back in the soon as I feel better. I swear, I can't win for losing, sometimes. Hopefully I'll feel well enough to go.

I hope everyone out there in Sparkville has had a nice weekend, too :)

I've been doing this since 2007 and am at my highest weight...but I refuse to give up. You're here, not giving up. That's more than a lot of other people can say.

I hear ya! I was down with the Cold/flu for a week and didn't do any exercise the whole time, now that i'm feeling better i've been dragging butt about getting back to the gym. Luckily i managed to eat well during this time of Laziness. My weigh in is tomorrow to so we shall soon see if i held my own or not.

Glad to hear you had a nice Christmas Visit.
