Wk 139 Weigh In

So, if I want to post a loss, all I have to do is have a nice big gain first ...

Last week's gain of 5.4 lbs was bad, very bad. In my mind I saw myself losing 6+ lbs this week, more than enough to make up for last weeks gain. Of course that is not what happened, but still I got to post a decent loss.

Here, see for yourself:

Weight : 216.0
Lost : 3.2
Total : 104

A loss of 3.2 lbs is awesome, of course it loses a bit of luster when compared to the 5.4 lb gain last week. But at least I lost more than half of what I gained. Now hopefully I will lose some more and maybe get back to under 210 where I was a few months ago. Breaking my hand was certainly the harbinger of bad news for my weight!

I'm going to keep my blog short this week, I don't have any pressing need to write too much so I'm just going to go ahead and stop it here.

    Nice. By the way someone shared with me a thought that was helpful. These little ups and downs are a bit like the daily fluctuations of the stock market. If you look over the past year or two and see the big picture - a 100 pound loss overall more or less - three to five pounds up or down might indicate trends that we need to pay attention to but they do not negate the big picture accomplishment. Imagine what it would be like to suddenly have all the weight back that you once carried.

    Take the loss and let that be momentum for the upcoming week!!! WOO HOO!! A loss during the holidays should earn bonus points...right? :D

    congrats on the loss. it is really hard when you go up and down but I think it is just being close to the goal.

    In my humble opinion, ANY loss should be celebrated, and especially once you have gone up. Why? Because you nipped things in the bud and took control. You did not throw up your hands and throw in the towel. You got back to work and are getting results. Good for you! emoticon emoticon
