I have not written here in quite a long time, so I feel it is time...

Why I am still heavy...

Yes, I have lost over 30 pounds as I stated in my last post, however, I have gained some of that back. I am still at a size 10, but as usual, I struggle with losing more... I also struggle with eating healthy ALL the time... I love cheese and I refuse to give up my Tillmook cheddar cheese, especially since I found out that there is less sodium in it than American cheese...

I can't seem to get myself to eat more vegetables... I have started eating Tofu though and found a cool recipe online for a Tofu shake (malt)... The only difference is, I do not put honey... Just half of the Tofu and some frozen mixed berries I buy from Trader Joes... It is very delicious... This past spring I did my first 10K... WOW! I was tired and sore afterwards too... I need to work up to that... It is difficult... Why do I always quit halfway through my weight loss... I give up when I can't lose any more instead of trying harder... At least I know why some people have someone (a trainer) to push them... Heck... A year ago, I was a personal trainer and could not get anyone to hire me though... Now, I can't get anyone to hire me as Graphic Designer/Web Developer... Why???? I got laid off from Countrywide over four years ago, and it is still very, very difficult for me to get a job.... ALL my friends get one it seems like really fast...

My dream is to get down to at least a size 8 and to start working as a Graphic Designer/Web Developer!

    keep on trying the jet liner is only on track part of the time and keeps recorrecting but gets to destination . WE can too emoticon

    Hang in there! I too am not a big veggie fan but I know how important they are. So I put carrots in my lunch every day - and make myself eat them. We buy the baby carrots, although they cost more I'll actually eat those. I've also discovered that if you chop spinach up really fine in a food processor you can add it to almost anything and not notice. There isn't a soup, sauce or casserole in my house that doesn't have spinach in it now! LOL And I've learned it's OKAY to serve green macaroni and cheese!

    I also agree with Achieve2012. If it helps you to be accountable you should turn on the setting where your trackers are public. If you do this and you want someone looking at them on a regular basis just let me know and I'll check in every day or two! I too feel the need for accountability. Another SP friend would take pictures of all her meals and post them...I thought that was a great idea as well but I kept forgetting or letting life get in the way of this.

    You are doing ok. Just remain motivated. Like Achieve2012 said, treat yourself as you would a client and stick to your advice. This would be a training process for when a client comes on. You will be able to consult based on personal experience, which is the best. I have found that the best way for me to get in more veggies is to put them in smoothies. It is well with you!!!

    Thirty pounds is a lot, even if you have gained back a few. What was going on with you when you started gaining again? Sometimes this can be a clue.

    If I had a client, because I know how difficult it is to motivate myself, I would ask my client to have me work with them three to four times a week and I would have them show me their diet menu. If I see what someone else is eating, I could help them, but for some reason, it is more difficult to help myself.

    Since you are a personal trainer, If a client came to you with the exact situation, what would you tell them? How would you help them plan and what would you do to help them stick to that plan?
