Still doing well here. My boss finally returned from maternity leave and I LOVE just being a staff pharmacist again. She can have all the tough decisions and stress. The unfortunate thing is that I now have to pick up more shifts in the city, so my schedule is pretty haphazard.
Doing ok with eating. This time of year is tough and I've had issues trying to get my thyroid dose correct. You know you're low when your doctor asks, "Are you taking your thyroid meds?" I've gained back a few pounds, but not too bad. I think I've got it under control. I'm still in a maintenance phase for eating, and I know I've indulged for Thanksgiving. My plan is to get back on track and eat my protein and veggies diet until the next big indulgence, Christmas. I started exercising again this week. I think I have a pretty good plan:
20 min elliptical first thing in the morning
crunches after that
Do some weights when I get home from work
Stretch when we are relaxing in front of the TV in the evening
I've started with the elliptical and crunches. I'm also seeing how many sit-ups I can do. Wednesday, I did 5. Today, I did 7. I hope to find time to do the weights and stretching today. I might switch it up and try some swimming too, but I have to find a new swimsuit. All of mine are baggy.
Hubby is doing well with work. He has a new boss and loves working with him. He no longer has to be suppressed by the wicked witch. His attitude is much better and he's trying to fix things up around the house. The diet didn't work for him. Still trying to get him more active.
