Good Grief!

Friday, November 29, 2013

I am a sucker for a friend. Today I spent most of the day with my friend Tricia at a Kia Dealership. Please. Kill me...... But she did buy a very lovely bright red 2011 Kia Soul, but why in the name of everything Holy does it take hours to buy a car?!! I didn't take this long to buy my house!

I did manage to get out to survey the garden this morning, and I did manage to go grocery shopping....Yay!

Right now, I am making an Orange-Cranberry Torte from a recipe given to me by my late Aunt Lois. These are really yummy! The torte is made with fresh cranberries, dates and nuts, and is cooling now, and once it's luke warm, the process starts....the torte is placed on a rack over a large bowl and a topping is poured over it; the drippings are caught and poured over it again. Then it's put in a dish and covered with foil for 24 hrs. It can then be served in slices with whipped cream.......

Guess I best be off to the kitchen. TTFN!

You are a good friend. I hate the car buying process even when it is for me! It does take forever and I don't know why!!!

You ARE the darling friend. Going to a car dealership is akin to visiting hell for me...the games they play and the hoops they put you through...oh my GOSH!

What a wonderful friend you are to persevere! I hope she fed you for your sweetness...a luncheon at a cute restaurant was DEFINITELY in order after that ordeal!

Love you girlfriend you are well at the top of the list in good friends doing remarkably crazy and wondrous things for the sake of friendship! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
