Thanksgiving Day

Friday, November 29, 2013

I woke up at 9:30 am and I wasn't expecting my sister and nephew to show up until 12:00 pm. I was going to walk for about one hour but decided to shower first. By the time I was done cleaning myself up, it was 10:30 am. The next thing I knew was my nephew Mike was on the phone saying they were coming to pick me up!

We went and enjoyed 'Thor', it was a good movie and I do recommend it! Then we went to Cracker Barrel for our Thanksgiving feast. I had turkey, ham, corn, stuffing and pumpkin pie. All of it was delicious! My sister decided this year that we would eat out instead of her cooking for just the three of us. Also the Steelers/Ravens game was last night. Sad to say as a Steelers fan, they lost 22 - 20! Before the game I enjoyed a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving show.

During the feast I asked what they both wanted for Christmas. Well it will be real easy to not shop for them this year, they both just want money!

Note on my last blog about my Christmas Tree lights, after many hours of tedious work my lights on the tree are all working!

I checked my weight this morning and I actually lost 0.2 pounds!

Have a Merry Christmas or a Happy Chanukah celebration!!!

Terrific! And you even lost some weight over the Thanksgiving celebration. I'm happy you had a great time. And I'm happy we didn't lose you among those Christmas lights! Haha. Have a great weekend. Bob.

Looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with your sister and nephew. I enjoy Cracker Barrel as well. It's nice to go out for good home cooking. They make a delicious chicken & dumplings. Almost as good as mine.

WTG on the weight loss. Sometimes when we go out to eat we gain due to the salt they add in the food.

It's great the holiday lights are working. I have a fiber optic tree so no more lights for me. I used to have a large tree but now I set up a table top. Just easier for me and just as festive.

That is great that you had a nice thanks giving with your sister and nephew.
I think money or gift vouchers can be great gift ideas. That way we don't buy things that people won't use. Also they can get what they do want. Not long till christmas now Steven. I must get my house ready so I can put the christmas tree up. Lost of tidying and cleaning to do, especially with all our messy pets. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
