Retreat with LILYGAL

Well another quilt retreat with LILYGAL is history. We had a fabulous time and I feel like I accomplished a great deal. Plus, it is always fun to see the amazing things other people are creating and is always a great group of women (and one man this year).
At any rate, my main project was my oldest UFO. I've been working on cutting and making the arcs for a double wedding ring quilt. This is something I saw years ago while with my sisters and decided I would tackle. I had it in my head I had to get ALL the arcs done before starting the process. Well, I had to change that mindset or I would likely have never started putting together since I've taken on a monster of sorts. I want it to be an oversize king quilt so it hangs just how I want it to.
So I spent the weekend getting the arcs I'd turned before I left ironed in place and then sewn in place so I could start putting the blocks together and then putting rows together. I just had to see it come together. I managed 3 full rows and have a fourth row in the works. I thought I'd share thus far and my goal is to have it COMPLETED to take to next year's retreat to share.
