Just three things....

Wow, the year is almost over. It has been a crazy, maddening few months, full of changes that aren’t quite done yet and surprises both good and bad. After almost losing my mind a few weeks ago with everything going on, I realized it is time to take a step back. I try to jump in with both feet over and over. I don’t stick with it because I take too much on too fast, then I am frustrated because it didn’t work. I need to work on changing that habit. For the remainder of the year, we are going back to basics.
I have been focused the last two weeks on tracking food. I am always cognizant of watching the calorie counts, but I needed to spend some time just focusing on tracking again. Now that I am in a good routine with that, it’s time to get active. This week’s focus is sit-ups, push-ups and walking. With the holiday, I know I won’t make it to the gym, but that isn’t an excuse for not talking my dog for a walk. Every day, only three things. I won’t stress about trying to get in a 30 minutes workout, and start yoga, and make the gym, and walk the dog, and….. Just three things. Next week, we will see where it goes from there.
