Surgery date is set....

Friday, November 22, 2013

It has been a busy week around here. I'm working on not letting things really get to me and sometimes it's very difficult. I know I was very upset the day I finally saw my grand dtr for the first time and I can still see that beautiful little girl and think about all that I have missed with her and her siblings but, I have to go on and hope that some day we'll all be together.

It's funny how you think about things and wonder "why" they happened or didn't happen. I found myself even thinking about my past and what I could have done that was so bad that I am not being punished for know the old saying " what goes around comes around" I know my Mom and I were on the outs for four years and I'm sorry for that but we
made up and things were great afterwards. I don't see that happening with my Son, he really holds a grudge and with a Dtr in law like mine, it won't happen....she rules.

The surgery date for my DH has been set for this Monday at 7:30am (he'll be the first for the day) He has a 100% blockage and so it has to be done. They say he'll be home the next day
and the Doc says he will feel much better. He had the other side done in Jan. of this year and it's doing great. Today my Dtr. is in for some minor female surgery, nothing serious and we'll pick her up later.

I'm trying not to get stressed out over things because it doesn't help the losing weight part and I already put the two pounds I lost back on. I know one thing, I can maintain pretty good now I have to get it off again so I can maintain.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my last blog and all the words of encouragement, it means a lot.

Sometimes things just don't work out like we want them to. Keep an open door and you never know what good things will walk through.

I'll keep you and your DH in my prayers.
