And Thursday Has Come and Soon Will Be Gone....

Thursday, November 21, 2013

Today was another grey, rainy day here in the sunshine state. Not a pouring down, steady rain, but off and on gentle showers. It's been like this pretty much since last Sunday. I can't really complain - This type of weather is the absolute best for my garden!

I'm hoping that the weather is good Saturday and/or Sunday - I have much more to plant this season. I'm also hoping to find some strawberry plants this weekend - I'm a little late, but if I get them in the ground this weekend, there is a very good chance that they'll do well. This year, I'm also going to try planting artichokes and potatoes - both will be a first since I started gardening in Florida, so I hope I get them right. I started one variety of potato from seeds in my potting shed on the 14th, and I have organic seed potatoes and artichoke crowns on order, and hope to get them planted before December 1.

Tomorrow is supposed to be pretty much like today. I just hope the day passes quickly, with as little drama as possible. I really like my peaceful life at home, and when the day is chaotic and full of unnecessary drama, it is an assault to my senses. I also do not suffer "libtards" very well, and there are several in our building. I get particularly annoyed with people who are devoid of logic and common sense, so I do my best to avoid them.

So now, I am about ready to get some sleep. I've had a relaxing whirlpool bath, enjoyed a cup of tea and my evening snack, and will further relax with a re-run of "Criminal Minds." That should be enough to lull me off to dreamland......

What the heck is a libtard? Puzzled look on her face? emoticon I always learn new words from you my friend! emoticon I'm fixing a fan~ta~boulous lemon chicken dish with artichokes for tomorrow's dinner group...wanna come?

At least with you here...we'd have two 'mostly' sane logical peeps in the group. I have no idea how it will play out...I DO know if Ms. Obnoxious sits anywhere near me after two glasses of wine she's gonna get her little French ears pinned to the back of her bun.

Insufferable this one is...honestly there's just no other way to put it..and I have a long patience cord...but two years has blown the ignition switch for me!

You might hear the fireworks all the way up in your neck of the woods.. emoticon when I'm done...I'm done and you are gonna know I'm done! emoticon

Oh...by the way I shared the chicken recipe on one of my ga~zillion blogs..hopefully you'll find it by the time the artichokes sprout! emoticon emoticon

You're so lucky to be able to have a winter garden! There is snow here on the ground - not much yet - and the lake is slowly starting to freeze up around the edges.
