How long would you drive to get to a gym? Or better how far are you willing to drive?
Here is my dilemma. There are a couple gyms here. Only two have child watch. One is YMCA and there room is dingy!! I don't think they ever clean it. They had an outbreak of flu in there before anyone else I heard this year! Plus it would cost me about $39 per month I think. It is also not open 24/7
The other gym is dingy too. It is a 24/7 gym and is is about $39 too but I hear they would reduce if you sign a long term contract. They do have childcare too. I have not seen the facilities yet completely though but it wasn't too impressive from the outside.
The third gym is further away and the previous two are about a five minute drive. This third one is 13 miles away which is about a 15-20 minute drive or so. I would not have to drive busy roads to get there or anything. Mostly country roads I think. They are 24/7. No sign up fee and a one year contract is $30 per month. They have childwatch too. The facilities looked good from the pics. I think they recently updated their location.
I'm torn between two and three but I thought three might be better because it might be less crowded but I'm not too sure. I wondered if either has group fitness which could be a deciding factor.
LOL. In case you wondered, I'm going to be working after January and my reward to myself is a gym membership. I am absolutely stressed daily with Joey at home. I need the stress relief just as bad as the exercise for fitness. I just don't want to hand him over however to a place that won't take care of him even if it is just a couple hours.
Other than that, I'm practicing tracking my food. I try to be accountable for everything I eat. I guess the hardest to track would be caloric drinks or sauces. I'm really cutting back on this a good bit though. I feel like it will be best for me if I put a calorie cap on my meals. I'm gathering a list of meals that are under 500 cals for lunch and dinner. Its suprising how many different things I can have if I strategize/plan.
I opened up an instagram account. I figure I will use it for my food diary and pics. Its so easy to upload to the account. I don't have many followers but if you are interested, my acct name is jnielsen980. Alot of the personal diaries of others have inspired me.
