Negative motivation

Wednesday, November 20, 2013

My negative motivation to get me moving and off of fattening food is the prospect of being heavier than I already am. I am terrified of being so obese that I am in a wheel chair.

The good news is that even if I am not up to exercise, that diet is the primary thing that controls and alters your body fat composition. This is both good and annoying. Why? Because you can control what you eat. But, you eat a lot more than you exercise. Even if you exercise 2x/day, most people still eat at least 3x/day. Food is around us all the time. The trick is to eat foods that satisfy and help break the allure of fattening snacks (not that all snacks are bad!).

For me, success begins in the kitchen. I often do best if I precook my food for the following day or at least do the cutting and chopping the day before. Success starts with a plan.

I need to exercise more too and tighten up my diet and do a lot more cooking. I know I would do better if I would. To be honest, I don't feel well and it makes me lazy.
