Winter's a coming...

Tuesday, November 19, 2013

Yesterday it was 67 degrees here in Massachusetts. Today it is 41 degrees. Burrrrrrr. I used to like the cold weather and found it invigorating. As I get older....not so much. I cannot believe it is Thanksgiving next week and then 4 weeks later Christmas. And with all this that white stuff comes. So not ready. Especially since my dog walking coat's zipper bit the dust last winter and so I need a new one.

Today I was suppose to have a 6:30am conference call for work but it got rescheduled. Luckily I work from home so I can roll out of bed, get dressed, make myself a cup of coffee, sit down at my desk and pretend I am awake when I dial into the call. When I did log in I also opened my Sparkpeople activity page and saw I had 24 steps already. So it takes me 24 steps after getting dressed to get coffee and log onto work. Good to know. ha ha

I think something is up with this activity tracker. Yesterday after I logged off from work, I took my dogs out for their walk and had the tracker clipped to my sneaker in the same place as I have for the past few days. I have been trying to find the best place to have it (without worrying about it falling off) and found for my walks putting it on the last few laces on my sneaker seems to work. However when I synced it up with my laptop later last night, it did not record a workout but it did the steps. Now I know all about not stopping for anything on my walks and I have gotten quite creative when my dogs stop to sniff etc. My neighbors must think I am the crazy lady cause I am walking back and forth or in circles etc. So I know that the lack of workout being recorded was not due to lack of activity. I sucked it up and recorded the walk manually. However when I logged on this morning and checked my ending result for yesterday....lo and behold there was the walk recorded as a workout. What is up with that? I find this tracker does weird things..... sigh.

My gym/yoga workouts have suffered this week because of the slight concussion I got on Saturday. (darn back door of my SUV) I was so proud of the workouts and steps recorded last week...and some days over 10,000 steps. But that is not happening this week. So sad :( Better safe than sorry though......
