What the heck!!

11-18-13

So, I started out sooo good. Went for a 2 mile walk with my dad. Came home, did a few chores, had my herbalife shake with a banana for breakfast. Then all hell breaks loose. I had to make a bunch of cookies for my husbands work. Normally, this is not an issue for me. I have willpower. I can say no. NOT TODAY!!! Nope! I ate one cookie from each batch....that was 10 cookies total. So there went 960 calories right down the toilet!! Don't get me wrong, I fully intend on hitting the treadmill still like I always do...and since it's already almost 5pm, I won't be eating dinner. BUT STILL...........WHY? I won't go over my calories, I'm not worried about gaining anything, I know better than that. The why factor is really bothering me. And no, it's not that time of month. Hopefully this was just a random thing and it won't happen again anytime soon!!

Thanks for letting me vent! Your input is greatly appreciated!! Until next time....

Have a great day!

You're within your calorie range.......you exercised this morning......you're going to exercise more this evening......what's the problem??

I mean, really...that's not ALL that much of a splurge. Sure, the carb calories and fat calories will out-number the protein calories by a bit more than normal and your vitamin intake may not be quite as complete as usual but it sounds like your head is on straight and you have healthy habits on a routine basis. In the grand scheme of hings, I think you're still doing quite well.

I hope you enjoyed every cookie and sleep easiliy tonight.

Vent then put it behind you and forget about it. Don't dwell on it for another second. It's done, over with, ka-put!

Don't get caught up in the cycle of thinking where you say to yourself, I ate 960 calories of cookies, now I have to go an extra 30 minutes on the treadmill or I have to run an extra 2 miles. That kind of thinking will do you in faster than the cookies.

Just eat smart at your next regularly scheduled meal, then proceed on with your day as though you never ate those cookies. Spark guy said in his video address today " you are going to consume something like 50 million calories in your lifetime. What difference does it make in the great scheme of things if you eat 960 of them today instead of 20 years from now. So what if it takes you an extra day, an extra week or an extra year to achieve your goals."

Remember, it's the JOURNEY, not the DESTINATION that really matters.

    Stay cool. emoticon
