I Trashed the last bite!

Saturday, November 16, 2013

Ok so I ended the week on a high note and wanted to treat myself to a Red Velvet Cami Cake. A Cami Cake is a pretty descent size cupcake and it's super delicious. It taste just like a southern red velvet cake just a mini one. Ok so moving on yesterday I stopped to get one yesterday with my accountability partner because it's important to be honest and not hide food. When you hide food you are not addressing the problem or habit of bad eating. So I decided to eat the cupcake before dinner by the way I had a nice salad for dinner (Healthy Choice) and I enjoyed my treat. But most important I didn't finish the whole cupcake. I left the last bite which is really huge because in the past I use to belong to the clean plate club, whether I was full or not. My goal is to only eat half and trash the rest but this time I had my husband trash it for me. One day I'll be able to eat a half of cupcake and trash the rest myself. Until then the last bite was trashed by my husband so that will have to suffice. The wonderful thing about this journey is that I see myself becoming more conscious about my eating and it's wonderful. Sometimes when you don't see physical results the mental are just as wonderful. Remember these mini milestones in your walk and for those sharing this moment with me thank you for taking this journey with me Gob Bless.

Congrats! I understand exactly what you mean too. We went to the movies last Saturday and I always get a medium popcorn. I was more than halfway done with it by the time we got 30 minutes into the movies, but then noticed that my hunger was receding. So I made a conscious effort the drink my full 20 oz. bottle of water and ended up not eating the last maybe cup to cup and a half of popcorn. Yay!!! Even when watching a movie, I was able to feel my body say "It's time to stop" and I obeyed it. Like you leaving the last bite of cupcake, that's huge for me because popcorn is one of my biggest weaknesses.

Congrats again, and glad to see you celebrating all of your successes! emoticon

That's emoticon that you trashed it and not "saved" it like we are so prone to do. You will be able to "trash the last" soon I just know it!
