No TV Day

Friday, November 15, 2013

Today's SparkCoach challenge is to not watch TV for 24-hours. Hummm - that is going to be a hard one since evenings are unwind time for DH who's favorite thing is to lose himself in a Steve Harvey show. Every night from 7-8PM "Family Feud" is on and we all laugh. Very funny stuff and it really helps my hubby losen up from his stressful job. There are days, and I'm not kidding, when I think it is the only thing that gets him thru his work day. He hates his job that much. But he is so close to retirement, and they pay him very, very well so that he stays. He grumbles and groans but he stays there. So I think tonight I will remove myself from the room so he can unwind but I can attempt to complete the challenge. I've got plenty of books loaded on my kindle that I can lose myself into. One day without TV should be easy. I know - famous last words. But I will try.

That's a cool idea. Maybe I should try that as well.

Good luck! I can go all evening without watching. I normally do. But I would have a hard time once I put the kids to bed. That is normally when I get into my bed and catch up on my DVR shows.

My husband unwinds that way too. He also likes to have the TV on as background noise.

Hope the challenge went well. Guess I can look forward to that one coming up.
