Last night I skipped my run and didn't make my step goal. I made plans to visit a friends and watch a movie and drink beer instead. So instead of running, I made a batch of homemade soft pretzels to go with the beer.

I'm happy with my decision. It's bitter cold out there and my pretzel making skills are improving. Tonight will be just as cold, but I'm going to leave work on time and hopefully be able to run while there's still a bit of light out. I should probably be staying late, and not writing journals because this project is insane and the end is so far off. But I figure next week I'll work a bunch of over time while S is out of town.

His schedule for the next few weeks makes me cry. Gone all next week. How the week of Thanksgiving. Then gone for another complete week. And most of the following week. I'm hoping work is distracting enough. It's a big job, but I'm not always great at keeping focused on it. I often get overwhelmed by it. I've tried breaking it down into smaller goals, but aside from the enormity of the project is the fact that things keep changing. They decide one thing, I work a bunch of stuff out and then they decide to take a different route. It's really frustrating.

Speaking of which, I should get back to it.
