Bizarre Food Dreams

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

I've been having food dreams lately (a sign that I am hungry?). Usually, the dreams involve me biting into something that tastes amazing, and I actually taste the food in my dream, which seems impossible, but in the moment I'm having the dream feels true! Has anyone else experienced this? One night it was pizza, another time it was a chocolate marble cake.

Last night was the most bizarre, though, because I dreamt that I had a plate with salmon and CHICKEN on it (I'm vegetarian and haven't eaten chicken in ages). In the dream, my sister took the chicken off my plate and ate it, which I didn't mind, but then she tried to take the salmon, and I roared at her something to the effect that "YOU DON'T TAKE FOOD FROM SOMEONE WHO'S TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT!" Haha.

I've also dreamt about hot dogs and soda (which I don't drink anymore), I guess pretty much any food that my brain labels sweet, juicy, tempting, or off-limits!

What weird food dreams have you all had?

When I quit smoking cigarettes, for the first 8 months I would often smoke in my dreams. I tasted them and felt the effect in my dreams, and some days I even woke up feeling a little guilty (weird).

I've dreamt that I was swimming in molten chocolate. Which wouldn't be bad, but it would be hot. (Lots of resistance, so a good workout, LOL!!!)

LOL! I sleepwalk & eat- not good for me.
    I can't say that I've dreamed of food & it's taste, that's amazing!
I agree with ILOVEREDPOPPIES - Jack la Lanne used to say "If it tastes good, spit it out" emoticon

Wow! Sounds like your body is reminding you of all of the bad stuff you used to eat! Remember if it tastes that good spit it out!
