I Feel Like I Got Ran Over by a Mack Truck, but in a Good Kind of Way

Tuesday, November 12, 2013

I just feel like hibernating today. I feel like jello. Not exactly tired, but just like I want to meld into the couch. I want to get those points up, but I just don't know that I have that much of a work out left in me. I did get 50 minutes done. After that, I had an amazing, hot bath, candles glowing in the bathroom. Pumpkin scented. It has been sooOoOOoo cold outside today and very blustery. Winds were upwards of 25 mph with gusts 40 mph. No WAY was I going to do my 3 miles outside.

Just sitting here on the couch with my little man and catching up on getting some more points. Thinking something warm to drink. emoticon Anybody wanna watch a movie with me?

Actually a true story about officers that were captured in Nazi Germany that escaped their encampment. The Great Escape with Steve McQueen. I like older movies so much better than the stuff that's out today.

    Oh, yes! Movies are fun.

What are we watching? A tear jerker or comedy?

Ha! Carmrun, I don't have a shower in my house, except for one in my downstairs kitchen. Yep. You read that right. lol We live in an old, solid farmhouse that I love. As you know, older houses have their quirks. One of the quirks in our old house is that there is a downstairs 3/4 bath in the kitchen. Behind a folding, louvered door, there is a potty with a tin can of a shower (that I do not use). This little room is the size of a postage stamp. THEN, the sink and vanity is just outside that door and is smack IN the kitchen. Funny thing is, I have forgotten how strange that is until I have sat here writing this. My husband has funny stories about taking showers in that tin can. lol Stuff like it being very difficult to land the faucet on the precise, good comfy temperature, having to squat to rinse his hair under the shower head, bumping his elbows and making the goofy thing sound like thunder, the water flowing out into the room and running out of hot water. lol

Say. Maybe you can come here for baths, and I'll come to your house for showers!

Yeah. I think you're right. I feel good. Getting points is great, but I do need to keep it in a range where this exercise is doing me good.

We finished up an oldie we started last night; 'The Great Escape', which is a true story. I'm hoping we get another. May not have enough time though.

You may be burning yourself out on the workouts. Yesterday you mentioned in your Blog that you have been exercising 2 hrs a day. That's A LOT! Today was your body's way of saying 'gimme a BREAK!" emoticon Go with it.

Sounds like a great evening planned! What movie did you watch?
