Day 9 - This blog

Monday, November 11, 2013

Nov 11 - A day for remembrance. I am thinking of all those fallen soldiors and their lives lost. All those young people going off to their deaths. So sad. I am so appreciative of the freedoms we have today because of all those lives lost. They were sons and fathers and uncles and maybe grandfathers to people left behind. So sad.

My motivation for today is this blog. Every morning when I wake I start thinking of what will motivate me just for today so I can write about it in my blog. The act of doing that keeps me very focused on my journey. I can't believe how much I am enjoying this blog!!! I really enjoy writing in this every morning and I feel a responsibility to my blog to keep going. So many times in the past I would muster the energy and motivation to eat well and exercise for a whole week!! I would lose a few pounds and then would slack off and pick up my old habits once again! Writing in this blog and thinking critically about what I am doing and how I am doing it is making all the difference!!!

I will have a busy day in the kitchen today!!! I am planning a marathon of cooking. I am making salad bowls from tortilla shells, lemon chicken soup, bef and barley soup and haystacks made with fiber One Cereal!!! I do love to cook but I have a husband who is a bit of a finnicky eater!!! When I feel the cooking craze come over me, I usually invite the kids over for dinner!! They love it!!!

My motivator for today is this blog. When I am tempted I will think of my blog and my responsibility to it!
