No, I've not forgotten SP, or any of you. I just am doing other things.
It's been a rocky 6 weeks or so. We had a great loss when Ron's brother died unexpectedly in an accident. He's sorely missed, and it's kind of taken a huge toll from all of us.
My reactions to various foods are getting volcanic, if they are grains. Ate wheat so that I could be tested for celiac, just 4 weeks ago, and oy... it set off some sort of chain reaction so that I could hardly eat. Blisters in my mouth caused the whole inside of my mouth, palate, gums and throat, and tongue, to blister up and peel. This lasted two weeks, with too much benedryl. I don't even look at anything with rice, barley, oats, wheat, or any grasses, anymore. I even react to a lot of the foods that used to be safe. Apparently this is normal with Oral Allergy Syndrome.
I had my daughter here for a week. She's been dabbling with Paleo and lost 30 lbs this year, with frequently going off it, and doing lots of exercising. So we went full Paleo with her here. We lost about 2 lbs each.
But right after she left, I picked up some vile stomach bug and spent a week mostly between bed and bathroom and not eating a whole lot but potatoes baked in the microwave and chicken roasted at the local Costco, and lots of licorice tea, because I just wasn't up to cooking at all. Not so great. But I dropped 17 lbs in 8 days. Then it cleared up a bit and I was up doing things, again, and back on Paleo, and gained 10 lbs back, so obviously dehydration.
It's nice that some of it is staying off. I'm going to try this. I feel better on it.
One of our chicks started laying!
We have also been adopted by a rather problematic cat who seems to have PTSD and is soooo reactive. A lovely boy, though. Ron's granddaughter named him Paws.
