I had and am having a great Saturday with my husband. We ate out for lunch and it was sooooo good. We haven't eaten out in forever. But . . . . I caught sight of myself in the plate glass window of the restaurant as we were entering. Ugh! Not pretty. My husband reassured me that I had made great progress. Great encouragement but boy. It is scary to think of what I looked like before. emoticon

I have experienced that many times before, looking into the plate glass window and saying to myself, "is that fat woman actually ME?" And then I would go directly to Dunkin Donut for carbs, LOL. Lately I see myself and just say, "I am a work in progress".

I'm convinced that what we see in the mirror has almost no connection to reality. What we see on the scale is another matter!

Thank you both for the great support. You are both wise and I am heeding the advice. And I will definitely give hubby a hug. emoticon

Oh how hard it is to not let that negative self talk in, but it will do you NO GOOD!! Since I started doing the daily affirmations in the mirror, I've gotten much better. Several times I've even caught myself listening to the negative talk and stopped it. You are doing GREAT!! Don't let that negative voice tell you anything different!! And give your DH a hug from me for being such a great support!!

Keep that negative self talk to a minimum! Honestly, it's something I am very very bad about but I don't realize it until I am around my boyfriend. Just keep up the hard work and remember what your body will look like at the end of your journey! You've got his! Have a great rest of the weekend!
