For my challenge my goal is to lose 5 pounds and I want to lose 10 pounds by December 31st. I have plateaued and gain 2 pounds lose 2 pounds gain 2 pounds lose 2 pounds for 4 weeks I have been doing this which is very frustrating. I have been eating so many vegetables and doing well with my diet. I am doing a little better with exercise this week also. My activity tracker quit working so I had to send it in so I am waiting for a new one. It is just the USB port that is broke so the tracker is still on and they said it would sync when I got the new one in the needless to say I don't know how close I am to my goals. I feel like I will never get under 210 pounds nothing seems to be working.I am not giving up but I just wish it was a little faster but I am hanging in there.I am getting a Wii for xmas so I am going to have the get fit program with the balance board I can't wait to get it. Its here hidden in the bedroom I can't wait to hook it up and use it.does anyone else have the Wii and do they like it.It sounds like a good fitness program and when I had my stroke my balance was off and they used the balance program with me at physical therapy. So that will be good for me too!!!I hope everyone is having a good week and hopes for a great November!!Be Blessed, Lu Ann

I don't have a wii, but I would love to have one, especially this winter!
I love your background page! I was at a plateau for 6 weeks, but i cont. to follow the program. I am also 60. We can do it!

We just have to contiue doing what we know is right. I have decided it's all about the life change, not the diet by itself.

That helps me to stay focused.

That's this past few weeks anyway.

I do not have the wii but have thought about getting one for myself to try it out. Dont forget that Weight for God team has a challenge that is in not too late for you to join! We are starting tomorrow and there is a thread to it. It is our first challenge and VERY simple but it would help offer some support you may be able to use!!! Hope to see you on it!!! Kim!!

Walk. Increment the walk by a few minutes, each day.

While walking think about how you might improve your program.

While walking, also let your mind wander. See if solutions or suggestions come to mind.

    Hope this helps,

Wow look at all of the progress that you've already made! Sometimes when I hit a plateau or an up-down-up-down cycle like you described, I try to visualize that it is my old chubby body trying to fight or derail the new fit me. It becomes an epic battle in my head.
But it sounds like you are doing everything right, and in the end -- it's the new fit YOu that is going to succeed in this battle.

Forget the body measurements and scales for a while and focus on those NSVs. As far as not knowing how close you are to your exercise goal? Use a clock and your start page to keep track of your minutes. C'mon girl, no more excuses! Are you measuring your servings? I mean every teaspoon! Are you tracking every bite that you take? It is roughly 25 calories per taste of food! That can add up quickly!

Using your calorie range as a guide, where are you falling in your calorie range? Do you stay toward the bottom or do you tend to go over the top?

You can do this, Luann! If you are doing everything right, not over eating, getting your exercise and measuring everything, you WILL lose! Sometimes you need to look at your successes and ignore the scale. It lies! emoticon

I totally understand. So frustrating! I feel that my weight has started moving again. It's such a relief. We'll see what the scales say on Sunday.

Keep going, thanks for all the encouragement and you kind comments about my blog

I feel exactly the same way. It's so frustrating. Today I decided that I'd measure and maybe that would encourage me. It didn't!! I quit measuring when I saw two measurements had increased!! I'm not giving up, but aaaahhhhh. I could scream.
