New Braunfels 10K

Saturday we walked in New Braunfels in conjunction with their Wurstfest. The walk was residential to start and they have quite a deer problem. We counted 10 deer including this buck that came running down the street toward us.

Leaving the residential streets we did a nature trail called Panther Canyon. I was expecting it to be wet due to recent rains but it was nice and dry.

At the end of the nature trail we were back on city streets and passed this marker. It is one of the last surviving Limestone markers that marked the route from New Braunfels to Fredericksburg. Markers originally set in 1854.

We passed this cute train in Landa Park.

    I live in NB and missed the walk, but the bike race affiliated with Wurstfest had Gruene where I live hopping. Sounds like a lovely day, and it certainly was a beautiful one.....
