God Sets the Solitary in Families PS. 68:6

Sunday, November 03, 2013

Sometimes people need to know their area of ministry. While looking at this scripture, I can say without a doubt, you are 'called' to minister to your family. Why? He put you there. I know, I know. There are families and then there is 'family.' We naturally gravitate toward certain family members that are easier to get along with, that have a need, that may be on the same spiritual plain that we are on. That doesn't negate our being placed in the family we are in by God. We have heard it said, "There is a reason for everything." Also, "I'm here for a reason." Yes, you are, and if for nothing else, to pray.

There is an in-law that I have prayed for through the years for various reasons. Once to have a child and now we are three children later and a grand child. This same realtive railed on me twice, accusing me of something I didn't do once, and then something I thought that I wasn't even thinking. Hurts to be falsely accused. That took awhile to deal with. I know now it was the enemy using a bad situation to make things worse.

But just last week, this same relative asked for prayer. It may have been just tossed out there, but I took it as an opportunity to teach with the word by the Spirit to help her make a bad situation in her immediate family better. She said she felt the pressure of the situation leave after prayer. She has a big heart but seems to take too much on and that pressures her. She also has a controlling spirit brought on by a spirit of rejection. Maybe some day we can have prayer about that.

"For such a time as this" I am in this family. God put me here. I pray I can be all that He wants me to be.

Have a blessed Sunday, All!
