Leaving for another and last "road trip"

Thursday, October 31, 2013

This time I will fly on the way to the city. The five hour drive is only a one hour flight.

Then, I return home with my fiance in his car. This is an unusual drive. For one hour of it there are no radio signals and cell phones don't work well. I usually listen to ABBA. For three hours it is nothing but forest, not your usual forest either. It is in the north so the trees are funny little things. I love them. Each tree is like a friend. However, it makes for a very boring drive. My mind says "tree", "tree", "tree", "tree". Meanwhile you must scan the ditches looking for wildlife. The animals are crazy and suicidal. They dart out of the trees onto the road faster than you can stop. Why would they do that? By the time I finish that drive my entire back always hurts from tensing those muscles. There are many crosses in the ditches, it is a dangerous road.

I will be able to eat normally today. I caught another stupid head cold so had to call in sick today. Three of our team of five is home sick today. Cubicles suck. Companies should do some comparisons between sick days with offices vs. cubicles. There is money lost with sick days.

I weighed myself this morning and got 162.2. At the clinic that would be 164. My body has recovered from eating that quinoa patty and is now back in ketosis. At 163 that stupid BMI nonsense will stop calling me obese.

emoticon BMI is a tool used by insurance companies to charge normal people more money by calling them mean names. They took data from the 1800s collected just out of interest and perverted it. Sticks and stones.
