Back from holidays and raring to go

Wednesday, October 30, 2013

Although we got home late Sunday night from vacation, since I work Mon & Tues I feel like this is my first day home. I really feel motivated and raring to go. I exercised daily during our holidays and it felt great.

I love the way I feel when I exercise. Even though I am so overweight I want to commit to doing at least 1 mile of a Walk Away the Pounds (WATP) dvd each day. I have an exercise coach and starting Nov 20th I'll be expanding my exercise beyond cardio.

Today I tried a new dvd which was too hard for me. It was the WATP 3 mega miles and I only did one. However, I still have my workout clothes on and hope to get back upstairs to do at least another mile.

It's great when you get away from home. Walking a mile a day is awesome. I know some people on here walk plenty more every day and I am always amazed, but activity is based on what you are already doing and if you are not doing a lot then a mile is PLENTY. It was a great look back to see that it used to take me 30 minutes to walk the 1 km around our block. Now it takes me 20 minutes to walk the mile around three blocks. THAT was exciting. I am doing The Writing Diet and the goal is to do a 20 minute walk after writing morning pages so I'm doing about a mile a day too. Hurray for us! emoticon emoticon emoticon
