VERY frustrated with myself...

Monday, October 28, 2013

So... today did not go as planned at all. I did not go join the gym and swim, I slept til after 2 pm. Since I didn't wake up in time to put dinner in the slow cooker, we went and got Greek. So I didn't workout and I didn't cook.

And WHY? Because apparently nothing is as important to me as sleep. When I go to bed at night I have big plans and great intentions... and when the next day rolls around, I just sleep and sleep.

The habit gets reinforced by not being able to fall asleep at night after sleeping all day, so then I'm up til the wee hours of the morning, then when I do finally fall asleep... I sleep all day again. I know the only solution to this dilemma is to GET THE HELL UP and deal with it for a few days until I get my sleep schedule back on a more normal track.

So that's my goal for tomorrow. To get my lazy @ss out of bed before 2 pm and do something productive! If anyone has any spare get-up energy to send my way, I'd appreciate it.

Hope everyone had a great Monday!

I used to miss alot of work because I could not get my ass out of bed. It was really bad. Almost lost my job. Then I had to force myself to not hit that snooze. I had to retrain my brain. Sleep is an odd thing and I need a lot of it. If I sleep less then 6 hours I'm useless the following day but if I sleep more then 9 hours I'm still useless because I guess that "Body in motion, body in rest" thing kicks in. The more I sleep the more I want to sleep. So I've discovered my magic numbers of hours to sleep are 7-9 hours per night.

Also what helped my insomnia was starting to exercise. I'd never been one to hit the pillow and knock out until I started working out for at least 30 minutes per day. And I'm not talking about ball to the walls workout just some walking and or swimming. I believe in you! emoticon

When you wake up you have two choices go back to sleep and dream your dreams, or wake up and chase those dreams....
