SO Glad I Can't Smell!

Sunday, October 27, 2013

I have no sense of smell - I never have. I was born without a fully formed olfactory bulb (the part that transmits the smell to your brain).

Today, and especially RIGHT NOW, I am GLAD I CAN"T smell! This pregnancy gas that is hitting me is something else! It just FEELS like it would smell terrible. Thank GOD my poor husband is sleeping. emoticon My tummy fills up, cramping pain, BLURT!, tummy fills up, cramping pain, BLURT! (repeat and repeat and repeat)

Please tell me prior pregnant women - does the gas calm down, stay the same, or get worse throughout pregnancy?

And with that... I will leave you to go wallow in my own filthy smells. emoticon

    Bahahaha! Awesomeness!

    Your poor hubby! emoticon

I don't recall the 'gas' issue from either of my pregnancies.

hahahaha! Everyone is different, mine wasn't bad all throughout but when it was bad it was...bad. But you don't have to worry about that without your sense of smell :P

    haha ahhh the gas.

Well this is my first pregnancy but I had some really crazy awful gas around weeks 5-6. Then it just cleared up completely. My poor husband also suffered with it BUT he is lactose intolerant so I counted it as payback ;) I think the gas I had must have been due to things 'shifting around' in early pregnancy. My understanding is that things might get awfully gassy later on down the road (when baby is pressing on things) but for now, mine has pretty well gone away.

Congratulations on your pregnancy my dear! It sure is an exciting time :)
