Begin where you are at

Sunday, October 27, 2013

That is what I have been trying to tell myself. It sounds so very easy, common sense right? What happens when just trying to figure out where you are at is half of the days battle? This last year has been utter chaos. Trying to get a handle on things has been like herding cats in quicksand... darn hard to stay on a path if it keeps shifting all the time so I have decided to try to make a list of things I know for sure atm
!. I now know what was causing my stomach distress.. GERD and what to do about it and have the proper meds to handle it
2. I now know that all the mystery pains are in fact being caused by RA/RAD
-I have a good Doc that cares a lot and is doing a lot for me
-I am fortunate that I am responding very well to treatment
- the same things helping me are also the root of a lot of chaos.. sleeping and eating issues are nearly constant
-This is for life. I am not going to wake up one day and be over it like the flu or a cold. I don't have to like it but I better accept it and move on
3. I had another heart attack, the first one in 13 years, when one of my two bypasses totally blocked.. irreparable damage was done
- the other one is completely open and still growing new pathways
-when locating the new damage, the docs found a deadly situation and repaired it
- I actually feel better than I have in a long time
- I will be on meds for the rest of my life for this but there is still a lot that I can do to improve/maintain the situation
4. It has been months of chaos in farm/home life
-we have finally hired/training help
-things are easing up if we could just over some of the shell shock of it all now

As I am writing this out it has occurred to me that maybe my greatest stumbling block is nothing more than fear... fear of getting thrown from the horse again. We all know the recommended treatment for that LOL
Something to dwell on today I guess. Maybe the answer is all just in not thinking and just moving until some force stops me... objects in motion and all that :D
