A good day!

Well, the week went well once my colleague left. Comments were made the rest of the week about how things "feel different" and I was even congratulated. I found it pretty sad. I guess there are people out there who, for some reason, likes to live in misery. I'm glad that she's gone and I think the classroom will be a better place.
I dropped my car off for an oil change and went for a run that was a bit over seven miles. It was a great day and I wasn't going to go that far, but it just felt right. This is the longest run since my 1/2 marathon and it did feel good. I'm still surprised how running, even seven miles, "isn't a big deal" anymore.
Once again, our bodies are amazing! The more we use them the more efficient they become. I NEVER thought I'd get hooked on running and I actually hated it when I was younger. I am a fine example of what can happen when you set a goal and go for it. If I can do it, anyone can....yes, ANYONE!
I didn't have more willpower, more athletic ability or more money for gym memberships or special food. I did have perseverance! I started this journey more than once, only to stumble and fall. I even turned around a few times, but in the end I kept going and I made it!
The path is infinite, but it gets smoother and hills aren't as big. However, the view from on top of the hills is
! The best part is there are others to travel with us and to stand beside us when we do get tot he top!
