Will a blog help with accountablility?

So I've decided to blog at least 3 times a week to see if this will help me stay on track. I'm not very good at this type of thing. I don't know if it's bc I see it as one more thing I need to do on the "To Do list" but I need something different as I am at a stale mate oscillating up and down 5 lbs around 211-216.

I read an article on mindful eating. I've known about it and have only put forth a half hearted effort into it. It's basically taking time to really notice your food, really taste and focus on it. Not necessarily cutting it out any specific food and stopping when you've had your fill. I have to admit I'm a speed eater. If I like it, I'll gobble it down like I won't be able to get it again. Therefore eating more and more.

My plan is to take at least 20min per meal. I'm going to take a bite, put my fork down and chew at least 20 times. Notice the flavors and at this point not cut out anything that I really want. My goal is to do this for a week and see what the results bring.

Fingers crossed that this works for me.
