Men who reported regularly skipping breakfast had a 27% higher risk of heart disease than those who said they regularly ate breakfast, according to a 16-year study of 26,902 male health professionals. Eating late at night was also linked with a higher heart risk, but the overall number of night eaters in the study was too small to draw meaningful conclusions, the authors wrote.
