have to track

Tuesday, October 22, 2013

As much as I hate to admit it, I really need to track what I eat. As soon as I stop tracking, I start taking advantage and act like a little kid with no boundaries! I start grabbing bites here and there, stuffing "little" things in my mouth with seemingly no consequences.

Until, I decide to get on the scale.

Back to tracking.

It's all about starting over each and every day, isn't it? Progress not perfection.

For me, I owe my success to tracking. I would not have maintained had I not tracked for years and years and still do!

The little things add up. I swear if I didn't add up the little bites I would be way, way over.

I couldn't agree more. I stepped on the scale this morning and was 3 pounds heavier than when I last did - which was only yesterday or the day before! I'm thinking "I don't think I went off track to the tune of a 3-lb gain". But I wasn't tracking, so I really don't know how many calories I ate. And that's the value of tracking. Knowing what our intake is, and that awareness helping us make better decisions. Sooo....let's get back to tracking right NOW!! :)

You are smart to figure that out about yourself. I think you are doing great overall.
