Practical Sunday

Sunday, October 20, 2013

I finally gave my $35 Singer sewing machine the patience needed to get it threaded and working. I took in the waist and hips of four pairs of pants. These are my favourite work "trousers" (as they would say on What Not to Wear).

Oops emoticon I took one pair in about an inch too much. Oh well, they'll probably fit perfect in about a month. I'm so proud that I figured out that machine that I don't care about the now too small brown trousers. I bought that machine over a year ago and was always too overwhelmed. IP has cleared my head of anxiety as well as helped get pounds and inches off.

I decided that while fiance is out of the house I am going to go through my closets and drawers and sort out my clothing. I have clothing that ranges in size from 6 through to 14. It is all a mixed up mess so I'm going to sort through it. I already found some size 6 summer clothes which got folded and put away until next year. I'm in Northern Canada, winter has started and is here to stay for the next 6 months. I'm already wearing the parka and gloves.

Dinner is salmon with mint and ginger, veg is asparagus. Going to look for a chick flick on netflix.

emoticon no cheating! keep going everyone, we can do it

I ended up watching "Forgotten" with Julian Moore. Wow she sure runs a lot in that movie. She is naturally a lean lanky woman, and they make her just sprint and sprint all over the place. She is a natural so I just thought wow she is fast, however I hate it when Hollywood takes the anorexic and makes them sprint around. It gives us the impression that they are healthy and normal. Half the time we are probably watching body doubles do the action work because the waifs would pass out.

The movie could have been called "Julian Moore runs around a lot".
