New Health Goal

Today's SparkCoach community task is to pick a new health goal to focus on starting today and to share it. I already picked a couple of new ones over the past week or so. I've begun to pay more attention to my sodium intake and to incorporate that into my food choices. I've also begun going to the gym a couple of times a week just to use the rowing machine. I've discovered that's a good overall exercise activity. It works the core, the arms, the legs and incorporates some low impact cardio. A couple of months ago my kids, grandkids and I rented a house by a lake for a long weekend. We spent a day at the lake and first rented a pedal boat for an hour. We had fun with that. Then we rented a tandem kayak for an hour. I REALLY enjoyed that. I felt so peaceful being out on the water and paddling around. It's not quite the same on the rowing machine but I can close my eyes and imagine being in that peaceful place. I play music through a headset and tune out the rest of the surroundings.
