Today was SUCH a great day!


I reached 2 big goals/milestones that I didn't really realize I had had until I achieved them!

One being I lost 4 lbs making my weight 175--and I've known in the back of my mind that the weight on my driver's license I got when I was about 17 years old has been stuck on that ever since...myself knowing I weighed way more than that starting about 2 years later after I got the damn thing...

I honestly was shocked to see the scale at that point. I had upped my workouts quite a bit in the past two days, but I didn't think that marked change would show results so fast! And like I said in my last blog, my eating habits were kinda crap for awhile. However they should be mostly good this week, since I'm going to reach my goal of burning at least 2500 calories this week!

Today I did my strength training routine before lunch, ate lunch, and then did intervals of walking and running for a full hour! It was so beautiful out, and I felt so accomplished! Yay! I also burned more calories than I would have had I just went on the treadmill. It was way to nice of a day to go on the treadmill though.

The only thing that might slightly mess me up is that my calorie intake not entirely accurate because I went out to eat last night and tonight. But it was worth it both times. Today I got to meet a friend who was in town that I've known for years online! She was so awesome and fun, and she's a fellow vegan! We ate at a vegetarian restaurant called the Grange and it was amazingly delicious!

That brings me to my other accomplishment! When I said goodbye to my friend she was walking to the concert venue she was going to, and I was going to the bus stop area. I knew I didn't have much time to catch the bus, maybe three minutes and I still had a decent amount of distance to cover...well, I was able to make it! For years now if ever the opportunity arose where I needed to run to catch a bus or not be late somewhere, I felt defeated, because I could not run to save my life. I thought it might kill me physically. Tonight, I at first speed walked until I could see the bus, and as time was ticking, and I could see it was still there, I ran until I made it to the bus! And although I was kind of sweaty, I wasn't even out of breath! I didn't feel like death, and I could talk to the bus driver, and I didn't miss a really close call! WOOHOO! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Oh, and I guess I just realized another accomplishment! On October 27th, 2 days before my 29th birthday, it'll be my emoticon since I rejoined and started on this amazing path to weight loss and ultimately my health! I'm beyond excited and so proud of myself today!

    A 4 pound loss is amazing (and hardly repeatable so don't be expecting it every week, heh). Good job on the workouts and keeping your food reasonable! Clearly it's working!
