Has it really been almost 2 weeks since my last blog entry? Time is speeding by. My weigh in this week took the scale in the wrong direction. Factors in this include the time of the month, rebounding from a long day outside in the heat with not enough water consumption, and failure to track my eating for about 3 days. So, knowing exactly where I messed up, as well as one factor over which I have no control, I don't get exasperated and give up. This is new for me.
I started filling in my nutrition tracker again on Tuesday, and am happy to report Tuesday through Thursday were within calorie goal range. I entered my dinner before answering the call of my taste buds to go back for seconds last night, and when I saw the results I nixed the idea of seconds. Instead, I waited an hour or so and had one decadent 50 calorie chocolate truffle. This left me within my calorie range, satisfied but not overly full, and a lot happier knowing that I took control.
This is such a learning process, even though I was certain I knew all I needed to know about losing weight. I didn't realize how much I need to learn about myself! The nutrition tracker is my new best friend. Next week, I am planning to bring my gym clothes into the relationship, as well. I'm thinking we will all be very happy together.
