I am so tired of hearing "I will clean the house tomorrow, mom" And when I get home from work she is still laying in bed. GRRRRR!!! I just don't understand the laziness!! I have heard for the last week "I will clean the house" from my daughter I am so sick of the laziness. In the last week I left the dishes and this morning I did a full weeks worth emoticon . In the last week I have had two days off (Thursday and Friday) on Thursday I was prepping for a endoscopy and dealing with lawyers and on Friday had the procedure done, just really didn't leave me a lot of wiggle room and on Saturday I started a 7 day stretch at work with no days off. Of the last four days my daughter has laid in bed all day cause she just works so hard (7 hours a day 3-5 days a week) and she just deserves to lay around!!! WTF????

    How old is this girl?
She sounds depressed, lacking in motivation and goals and self respect!

She sounds like three weeks at Jacqueline's boot camp would do her a power of good. Book her a ticket to Shetland! I'll pick her up at the airport!

For someone to change their stripes they must have no other choice. Or, they fear the consequences.

I Ve got a son and a daughter like that! You can drop all the hints you want it will have no effect, except they react with righteous indignation. I even used paper plates for a week. For my birthday I told my son not to buy me anything but to do some cleaning. He mopped the kitchen floor a 5 minute job. His birthday is next week and is he in for a shock! You can tell you have touched a nerve. emoticon

Sorry you are going through this with your daughter. Maybe she is depressed? I do understand how hard it is and I am on the WTF plan lots of times with my mom. She lives next door to me and I have to just let it go. Can't control it no matter how much I want too and it just adds to my frustration. What you're doing isn't working so do something different. The main thing is not to let it stop you from moving toward your own goals. And you can move her out if it annoys you that much. Remember it's your choice in how to feel and react to it and it's your choice to live with her...or if she's too young to get the boot tell her you're charging her for a housekeeper to help you out and then do it!!

    I could make a suggestion!
It would include the lifting of heavy bags (good calorie burn) and leg kicks (the higher the aim the more calories burned). emoticon
Seriously, I think you need to have a good talk and some hard rules put in place.
