I remember the days when I didn't analyse what I was eating. If I fancied chocolate I ate it, dinner wasn't complete without dessert, and dessert didn't mean fruit or fat free yogurt. Knowledge is a powerful tool and I'm much happier being aware of what I'm eating and the effect it has on my body, but sometimes I REALLY miss the old days!

I agree with you! The knowledge has helped me maintain but it sure would be nice to be clueless sometimes...although that is what got us in the spot in the first place huh? lol!

Great post!!!! Thank you for the reminder!!!

I know - isn't it awesome to know that it's automatic to reach for a healthy alternative to our old snacking selves?

emoticon I remember the old days and I sure didn't enjoy my food like I do today. Eating mindlessly really doesn't hold much pleasure; but eating mindfully sures makes you appreciate those treats!

Well, you can kind of look at it like high school....I look back on it fondly, but wouldn't want to return to those years. Great experience, but love knowing what I know NOW. emoticon
