The Fort With no Walls

So, no carpentry work today. I had to do my civic duty and attend Regional District (sort of BC's equivalent to county) meetings. I'm the Alternate for our elected rep, who wasn't able to attend. It's always interesting to go and see local government working from the inside. I've developed a whole new respect for local politicians since taking this role. They know a lot about a lot of things and very much focus on the best interests of the entire region. Anyway, it was a great day for a drive to the next community, where the Regional District offices are located--about 45 minutes from my home.
The drive time gave me time to scheme what to do next on Johnny's tree fort. As you can see, so far it is a Fort With no Walls. I'm trying to think of recycle materials rather than buying yet more lumber or plywood to finish the palisade. Maybe for this weekend, it'll have to be some sort of netting or garden fencing . . . . Whatever it is, know by tomorrow as that's when I have to finish it. Saturday's another day away and Sunday Johnny arrives.
