when the weight of the bar is on you..literally

2 marathons in one year. All those miles. All those calories burned. The passes on wine night(not all now). Should have resulted in skinny right? NOPE. Just the opposite. I am thicker now then at the beginning of the year! I did strict power lifting from my March Marathon to the start of my Fall Marathon training in August. That is a long time with a few 3 milers here and there.

I am so much bigger now! Even my bust has gotton so much bigger! Oh and my legs YIKES! I understand WT and no cardio is great for people who really want mass. I expected some gain but whoa
I only Got in 10 of my 17 miles today. At mile 3 I started to feel so sick to my stomach I even had to remove my hydration belt emoticon I thought i was gonna toss my breaky! For real! I pushed through and made it to 10 and even got in a bike ride tonight.
I am really concentrating on my nutrition and feeling I am getting back on track! Wish me luck!!

    All those steady state cardio miles do NOT equal weight loss for me either. It's so frustrating because that's what I LOVE! I am going to dip my miles more than I'd like this winter in hopes of getting these 5-7 lbs. off and keeping it that way.
    I know I need to do more ST, but I'm not sure if heavy lifting is the answer. People say that it won't make you bulky, but then I watch the Crossfit games and all I see are bulky women, in my opinion. I'd rather have muscle than be a rail thin size 2. But I don't want to be a large either.
    Makes me think sprints, tabatas with body weight, and more HIIT are the answer for me. We will see!

    Well, I think you look fantastic; you look strong, feminine and capable. Very beautiful!

    What you DON"T look like, is the willowy body type. And you may never look like that. Doesn't seem to me that that shape would be indicative of the positive energy and glowing good health that you now exude.

    YOUR best body shape, may not be the one you have in mind. Keep your goals in mind, feeding your body healthy food and making it strong with exercise. You're doing great! You just might not end up where you think.

    Man girl you are just solid muscle!! I luv how you still look super feminine, wth natural curves and muscle ... balances out really nice. Those of us who have followed you frm the beginning can Definitely see how far you have come. Your stronger and much leaner to me, even though you feel thicker, however powerlifting might give you that feeling- emoticon .. Seriously the body is cookin all kinds of good sista! I just luv all these pix, showing off all your hard work,, Luv the jean pix , Dam girl you can rock casual chic like no other.. Of course when i do log into Spark I always find myself licking Nutella off my lips and murmuring "B!*ch" while looking at all yur amazing pix!! lol Luv u mama!!!! emoticon
