Well just got home from the hospital this afternoon. I had to be carried off one of my favorite hiking trails Monday afternoon. As I climbed the trail I became very short of breath. Tried resting but heartrate was still so fast that I could not count it. Decided to call for help from the rangers. When they got to me neither of them could count my pulse or get a blood pressure. They started me on oxygen while waiting for the rescue team to get there. From their I was taken to Vanderbilt ER and admitted to the hospital. After my 2 day stay and a heart catheterization I was told my heart had no blockages and was pumping normally. Yea God for that but no real cause was found for what had occurred. So now I am wearing a heart monitor for 2 weeks. They think I might have had a sudden irregular heart beat causing my blood pressure to drop. I know one thing it has made me more determined to lose weight and get healthy

    Halter monitor. Glad there was no blockage or other issues. Heart and Type II are why I am exercising, besides being 58. Take good care of yourself.
