I'm still on the quest to nail down my final goal weight and the healthy lifestyle to support it. I'm testing whether 126 will work for me long time. Yesterday morning I weighed in at 125.6, so that is my second fluctuation below 126. This morning I was at 126.0. Patience. Time will tell.

Yesterday I did a bunch of ab exercises and I'm sore today. Lets me know I let it slide too long. Thanks to NATPLUMMER for suggesting elbow planks. Now to keep up the good work and get as consistent on my strength training as I have been with the cardio. My left hand is still quite sore from my fall two weeks ago, and I have not figured out how to exercise arms and shoulders without stressing the hand, though. I'm doing some light leg and glute strength exercises, but not pushing, due to the mild injury I suffered in April that just doesn't seem to want to go all the way away.

I was asked about the picture of Barb and me in Barb's success story. That was taken last November in St Petersburg, Florida at the Dali Museum the day before Barb and I ran the Women's Half Marathon. It was wonderful of her to come run my first half marathon with me. She could have run it faster; instead, she stayed right with me and I will be eternally grateful. We ran it in 2 hours and 37 minutes.

My next half marathon is the inaugural Lakeland Half Marathon on November 9th. I'm hoping to run it in 2 hours and 30 minutes, but it is far hillier than the St Pete HM was, so that is definitely a stretch goal. The fall threw off my training a bit. I actually only missed one speed session. Also, I didn't run with the 2:30 pace group on Monday because one of the leaders thought I needed to take it easier. She may have been right. I was feeling really tired this week and so I ran really easy yesterday. I feel better today.

This Saturday is our group 15 mile long run. My longest run ever to date is 14.3 miles last year two weeks before the St Pete HM. So I intend to run further than I ever have. Probably will take it pretty easy for my run tomorrow, too, so that I'm definitely rested for the long run.
