Love it and Lose it!!

Monday, October 07, 2013

Hey there Sparkies, I hope you are having a wonderful day today. I am a little tired right now and thought "blog, blog about it". So I think I will!! In the title "Love it and lose it" I am referring to love your food and your work out and lose weight because you are doing what you like. I have just finished my longest workout I have done using my 2 kilo dumbells.

And I loved every minute of it. I really enjoyed it, it was with my playlist of songs I like. I got through ten songs and it worked out at over 35 minutes. I basically do exercises to the music and I go with the flow. If the music is fast I speed up and it is strenuous but I feel great. I usually use my 1 kilo ones. The 2 kilo were much heavier and I am on a mission. My arms did swing just a tad!! I mean the flaps, the excess skin. I have "fat ladies arms". I am very broad in the arms. I want to have nicely shaped arms and shoulders by the time I am finished. I am not sure how far that will work with the flapping skin as it gets more flappy. I aren't so bothered about the loose skin-well I will decide that later. It is going to be there. I don't want muscley arms, just nicely shaped . I aren't a fan of muscles bulging all over the place. No offence to people who are working on the really sculped look. It's just not for me.
I guess what I'm saying is if we enjoy what we are doing to better our health then it will be so much easier to achieve them goals.
I can't say how much I love my dumbells, and I aren't going to throw my opinions or interests down anybody's throats. I don't agree with that. I have a few things that I might do when I get closer to my final goal. I might not as well, but I know I will open so many options up of things I have never done. I quite like soccer and may even start a lady's fun soccer group, just for fun and fitness.

Actually that could be very fun. Marshall arts, more for fitness and self defence I may join some form of karate. And I am a great believer that in this violent world every girl and even boys could benefit from learning karate or some marshall art. Yep soccer or hockey could be fun fun fun.
Oh the possibilites of what to do when weight or size is not an issue. Also when being judged,or ridiculed will not be an issue. There is so much to look forward to, I am going to get there. Every day, every work out and every step of the way I am going to love it and lose it!!

Although I am very near my goal weight, I wish for a better looking core. I hope your arms become what you hope they look like, too. Sounds like you had a great time with your 2 pound barbells workout, congratulations on that. Starting up with the soccer goal appears very interesting. Now that you are getting in better form physically you can enjoy sports more. I remember during this past summer participating in some volley ball games, and it was just so much fun. I was meeting new people and enjoying myself!

emoticon ! Hey Shel sounds like you are doing great. It's so much more fun to work out emoticon emoticon when we like what we are doing. I am thinking about trying to have someone explain to me what an I pod is and how to use it. I think I might enjoy my walks emoticon much more when I can listen to my favorite songs. emoticon Sounds like you have some fun goals awaiting you. Once my weight is off me, one of my goals is to take hip hop classes. I think that would be a blast. I just need to find a partner. emoticon

My son plays soccer. Love to watch it. Don't want to run that much. We all have earned our black belts in Tae Kwon Do

I think the bat wings are with me to stay, but that is no excuse to not lose weight and be fit for sure. I need strength for day to day chores, and think it's cute you like your weights.

I only have one set of heavier ones, as the set froze and the plastic burst ... guess the sand drew moisture. So it is challenging to use heavier ones with the light weight ones ruined. I spent my made money on a spark tracker (doesn't track walking in place so only a step tracker if you walk) so have to make do.

I don't think you'd get big muscles, as for 8 years I moved 50 lb. tables for my job and my arm never bulked up.

Way to go for you! Enjoying your work outs makes it so much easier to stick to your plan. Keep on having fun and watch the pounds melt away!

Hi! Women don't bulge out because our levels of testosterone are too low for that so don't worry about it. Do some research here in Spark People because there are wonderful articles about weight lifting and about women doing weight lifting. I LOVE my dumbbells too and, like you, I will worry about the excess skin later. But you are doing really great AND the KEY is FUN!! That's what I tell people all the time. When we were young and were "playing", that was exercise but we didn't know it because it was fun. SO...KEEP UP THE emoticon YOU ARE DOING! emoticon
