I need to try and find someone that will help me stay on track. I have had a few months were I have not tracked, worked out, or done anything else. I need to do something about that but when I say that, it never happens. I am now working and have been since the end of June or sometime in July. Problem about that is, that I work overnight at a gas station. So about halfway thru the night, I get hungry and I go looking throughout the store to see what there is that I can snack on.

Stopped eating yogurts like I used to. I want to be in better health shape and health wise by next summer/fall.

    Try putting a picture of your boys (they are just adorable) near the foods that are the most tempting or the most empty calories. If you can't do the picture, try to imagine their faces when you are tempted. You are doing this for them! I really wish I had picked up on this when my daughters were younger and still living with me. They are both grown and, while we have a lot of fun when we get together, I can't help but think of what fun we could have had when they were young. You are working for them too, so don't be too hard on yourself. I have found that I really do like carrots (the "old fashion long ones) and apples; they give me lots to chew, I like the taste and they fill me up. Water helps too.

    Is it possible to pack healthy snacks, or even portion-controlled snacks to take to work with you for the overnight shift?

    That sounds really difficult. We have a snack shop in our building at work, and it can be ever so tempting. Over the last 2 weeks, I finally was able to stop walking through there. It required some grocery shopping for healthy foods I like and a whole bunch of gritting my teeth to make one good decision at a time. I hope you find a strategy to move toward better choices in your new season.
