Starting the Fall 5% Challenge... Pre-Challenge Assignment # 1 - PREPARE!!!

Monday, October 07, 2013

Exercise clothes out in the open (not hiding at the bottom of a closet or dresser drawer) emoticon - Gym bag is beside the door and ready to go!

Shoes for exercising (no stilettos or cowboy boots) - emoticon running shoes at the door, sensible shoes to work every day for lunch time walks

Pedometer ( to help us count those 10,000+ steps we should take each day) -- need to start using it more often. It's sitting on my dresser, waiting to be used.

Heart rate monitor if you use one (remember, unless our kitty cat ticker is working hard, we are hardly working on reducing calories) - don't use one.

Clean off your exercise equipment (I know, where else are you going to hang your laundry) - need to move my stepper to a more conspicuous spot to use it more often

Find/purchase workout DVDs – aerobic dance, zumba, biggest loser, walk the pounds away -- not really my thing, but I'll try some SP videos that I have bookmarked

Now you are ready to answer some questions
What will you do for exercise?
Walk 30 minutes per day on my lunch break, gym 2-4 times per week for cardio and strength.

On your Spark Page write up your Fall 5% Challenge Exercise Commitment. What type of exercise will you do? How many minutes and how often will you exercise?
Done!

You are definitely prepared, and off to a great start! I saw that you posted minutes for the weekend - awesome - and we are ALMOST to the destination as of Monday morning. If you do your cycling workout before work, we might just land the plane before lunch! Go FIRECRACKERS!!
