Slower than molasses in January!

Sunday, October 06, 2013

Have been going at a snail's pace for a couple of days but am bouncing back today. Have already been clearing more things out. I had a ton of markers, pencils, color crayons, and colored pencils, regular [pencils, pens, kids scissors, note books and binders. I packed them all up and took them over to the three little ones. They made pictures for me to bring home to Grandpa Jeff. I also took over 3 large photo albums that I left. Michael and Shanteal are to go through and choose what they want then pass them on to Paulina and Brianna. Most of the pictures in the albums are marked with names and dates and general info, I figure that if they have any questions about who is who I would let them know. I just am out of space for all of this. I still have 3 more to take and also two totes of pictures. The book I got when Mark died will go to Brianna. She is old enough to make the decision as to what she wants to do with it.
I am getting ready for this room to be completely renovated over the winter months. I will be scraping off the popcorn ceiling (I hate it) Puttin down wood flooring. Redoing the closet, and putting in all new trim. I have some old doors that I want to redo and put up instead of the hollow doors that were put up when they built the house. Next summer I am going to whether Jeff likes it or not going to fix the garage up and put an entry door to it. He wants to keep it as a garage, but we have used it for years as an extra room. In fact Jeff spends most of his time out there. I have in the past insulated the walls, put up paneling, installed a door going to the back yard. I want to fix it up as our front entry with french doors between the living room and dining room and use it as a family room. There is so much that I wat to do, but it will be a llittle at a time. I figure by next spring I will have this room done and ready to start on the one bedroom. I have to check to see what would have to be done to move the laundry to one area of the garage and also put in a half bath so that when the kids are here they go in out to the family room.
This is a never ending project for me because I am doing most of it myself with out borrowing any money so it is just a little each month.
Now you know how I keep my mind occupied through all that is going on with Jeff and me .
The Lord really keeps me busy.
I do have the little building I am going to make for my rods and reels and fishing stuff started. I took a pallet and put a floor on it and will begin the construction of the walls later this month and hopefully finish it in November/ I want to put a door on it and think I have one that I will be able to refinish and cut down to fit. Want to paint it white with a red door and it will have a red steel roof on it. There is enough roofing left from when the house was done that I will be able to do that.
Enough of the planning now, time to get busy.
God bless

So many great plans and doing it a little at a time keeps it from being overwhelming and you pay as you go. Beats going all in and then trying to find a way to pay for it. HUGS!
