I'm Making Progress!

Thursday, October 03, 2013

I'm making progress! I don't exercise daily regularly, yet, but I am working on making the time to do at least 10 minutes sometime during the day. My schedule is flexible to a fault, meaning that I am usually home with no deadline to meet for anything unless I have an appt or a meeting of some sort to attend. Consequently my routine is a daily list of happenings not really planned. I'm working on that too, and beginning to develop a plan. I have a set of health circumstances that have caused me to me unable to exercise regularly for the past year more or less. Getting back into exercise has been difficult. SP has helped me realize that I need to do something rather than nothing if I expect anything else to change. So change is my one constant these days. I am making changes toward better health and wellness. I my be plodding along like a tortoise, but I continue plodding along. I am making progress!

Since retiring, I have been dealing with unstructured time as well. I like to get at least a 10-15 minute walk in early, gives me a chance to plan a bit, pray, figure out my day. I recently started wearing a Fitbit, that also motivates me. Good luck with your goals and keep that positive attitude. Every minute and every step does count.

My days are very unstructured too and I've been realizing that it helps to put some structure into it particularly with regard to walking. It's easy to put it off and then not get around to it.

Great thought-provoking blog for me! Thanks.

Even 10-15 minutes at a time add up! There are some days that is all I can do because of my health issues, but knowing I can add those minutes to my tracker and seeing those fitness minutes add up is a good motivator for me.
