GO TO GOD
Isn’t it funny when we are searching for something we can’t find, we have to go to it to find it. It usually doesn’t come to us. We have to go back to the place where we last had it most of the time and we will find it sitting there. And, ironically, the last place we look for something is where we find it. Seriously though, if we want to find God, we have to go to Him. If we want Him to help us, we have to go to Him boldly. He is right where we left Him the last time we needed Him. There we can find His mercy and His grace.
Hebrews 4:16 “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, help us to treat You more than just Someone who we go to when we are in need. Help us to make a regular habit of talking with You in all things. Help us to remember daily to go to You boldly knowing You want to help us live for You and serve others. We can’t do that when we are off doing our own thing. Thank You for always being right where You are. Help us to remember You are ready to give us mercy and grace to help us when we need it most. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
If you are looking for God, go where you were the last time you spoke to Him.
If you are looking for God, get on your knees, bow your head and pray.
If you are looking for God, get away from the things of the world.
If you are looking for God, go to His house and surround yourself with His people.
If you are looking for God, go to Him and get into His word.
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”
